Yes. Ohana Care provides 24-hour dementia care at home for clients living in Calgary. Rather than a single caregiver working around the clock, care is delivered through a rotation of trained caregivers covering day, evening, and overnight shifts. This rotation of designated caregivers ensures the person receiving care always has a rested, attentive caregiver present, rather than one person stretched thin over 24 hours.
This shift-based model is particularly suited to dementia care because symptoms such as sundowning, wandering, and disrupted sleep often intensify overnight, when families are least equipped to respond on their own.
Families often move toward 24-hour care for their loved one when they notice signs such as:
Before 24-hour care begins, Ohana Care's community managers will meet with your family to build a care plan around your family’s specific routine and loved one’s stage of dementia. Following this meeting, your household will be matched with caregivers suited to those needs. As the dementia progresses, the schedule and level of support can be adjusted, so your family isn’t locked into a static plan.
At Ohana Care, we want to ensure all of our patients receive the care and support they need and deserve. That’s why we have a variety of supportive programs designed to assist you or your loved ones. The following are some of our services.
