Ohana Care Health Services is looking for Health Care Aides with a current health care aide certificate, and a passion for providing seniors with outstanding care. The most important part of our work is to make our clients feel they're cared for, and to build trust with the nurse.

We offer a range of home care services provided in the home, at assisted living facilities, and nursing homes around Calgary and the surrounding areas, 24- hours a day.

Job Requirements:

  • Health care aide certificate
  • 1-2 years' experience working with seniors
  • Has own transportation
  • Valid Criminal Record Check
  • CPR (HCP) Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate

Job Description:

  • Assist with bathing, dressing and other personal hygiene needs
  • Assist with meals
  • Assist with range of motion exercises
  • Assist with simple wound care
  • Assist with elimination needs
  • Assist patients to take their medications
  • Detailed and concise communication with management

  • Hydrating client’s skin (lower extremities)
  • Using electric file on hard nails and callouses

  • Engage clients in meaningful activities
  • Ensuring that at all times the client is accompanied including time spent in the home, or accompanying them to medical appointments/shopping/social outings etc.
