Ohana Care Health Services is looking for compassionate nurses with a current LPN license, and a passion for providing seniors with outstanding care. The most important part of our work is to make our clients feel they’re cared for, and to develop a strong rapport with our clients.

We offer a range of home care services provided in the home, at assisted living facilities, and nursing homes around Calgary and the surrounding areas, 24- hours a day.

Job Qualifications:

  • Health care aide certificate
  • 1-2 years' experience working with seniors
  • Valid driver's license
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Valid Criminal Record Check
  • CPR (HCP) Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate

Key Requirements:

  • Assessing the lower extremities
  • Filling and trimming toenails
  • Reducing callouses
  • Wound care
  • Proper teaching
  • Recording assessments
  • Creating treatment plans
  • Hydrating client’s skin (lower extremities)
  • Using electric file on hard nails and callouses

    Companion Caregiver

    Ohana Care Health Services is looking for on-call Companion Care Workers with a minimum of 1-year experience, and a passion for providing seniors with outstanding care. The most important part of our work is to make our clients feel they're cared for, and to develop a strong rapport with them.

    If you meet the below requirements, we’d love to hear from you.

    Job Qualificationss:

    • 1-2 years' experience working with seniors
    • Valid driver’s license and proper vehicle insurance coverage 
    • Has own transportation
    • Current CPR(HCP) Certificate
    • Valid Criminal Record Police Check

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with meals
    • Create a plan of care and promote physical wellness
    • Assist with range of motion exercises
    • Detailed and concise communication with management and supervisor.
    • Engage clients in meaningful activities
    • Ensuring that at all times the client is accompanied including time spent in the home, or accompanying them to medical appointments/shopping/social outings etc.
