Melissa Therrien, RN
GENERAL MANAGER
Melissa Therrien is an accomplished healthcare executive and Registered Nurse known for leading with strategy, empathy, and purpose. As General Manager at Ohana Care, she champions person-centered service delivery, operational excellence, and high-performing care teams.
With over a decade of experience across acute care, pediatrics, hospice, long-term care, and senior living, Melissa combines clinical expertise with executive leadership. She excels in complex care planning, palliative support, and crisis intervention with a compassionate and trauma-informed care approach.
Melissa has led initiatives including digital communication, national accreditation readiness, and pandemic response across Western Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia, a Practical Nurse Diploma from Bow Valley College, and specialized certifications in trust-based and relational leadership. Melissa is passionate about fostering cultures where clinical excellence, compassion, and performance thrive together.
Monika Sharma
SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
Monika Sharma is a healthcare coordination professional with over seven years of experience supporting home and community care. As Scheduling Coordinator at Ohana Care, she ensures continuity of care by matching the right caregivers with the right clients while balancing operational needs with empathy and respect.
With a background in social services from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology, Monika has held roles at Bayshore Healthcare, Circle of Care, and Canes Community Care. Jen Cooper
OFFICE MANAGER
Jen Cooper is a healthcare operations professional with over 15 years of experience in senior living and long-term care. As Office Manager at Ohana Care, she blends operational expertise with a commitment to creating responsive and nurturing care environments for residents and their families.
Before joining Ohana Care, Jen held leadership roles at Amica Senior Lifestyles, including Community Operations Manager and Memory Care Coordinator. She enhanced resident engagement, streamlined care operations, and empowered frontline teams, building programs that balanced quality care with operational efficiency.
Jen holds training in Health Care Administration and Personal Support Work from Fleming College and Georgian College. She is dedicated to supporting high-quality care, effective team collaboration, and environments where empathy and operational excellence meet.

Heather Connors is a dedicated Human Resources professional, with more than 10 years of experience in the home care and long term care sectors. As the Human Resources and Recruitment Coordinator, she combines her expertise in human resources with a deep understanding of healthcare to support the growth and success of both employees and the organization.
Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, she is committed to creating positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace cultures where employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
