At Ohana Care, we don’t have a minimum number of visits required as we want to provide you with the assistance and support you need, however long you need respite services.
Respite care for dementia is support and assistance from an expert caregiver to someone living with dementia or Alzheimer's. This support includes helping with tasks from going on walks or playing cards to medication administration. We also offer our clients specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care services.
Respite care is short or long-term care provided when a primary caregiver cannot care for you or your loved one. In contrast, hospice care is a support service provided when someone is nearing the end of their life. At Ohana Care, we also offer palliative/end-of-life care for those living in their own home or living facility. Alternatively, Alberta Health Services provides hospice care for those living in the hospital.
