He was living on his own and doing well prior to the accident that changed our world. Prior to being placed into Assisted Living I reached out to Ohana Care for advice, guidance and input into home care. The staff was completely empathetic to our situation and offered so many services to assist my father in staying in the home. Unfortunately he had to move onto a facility that provided 24 hour medical care however the staff at Ohana provided so much direction and comfort we were able to make the right decisions at the right time. We utilized their services for companion care initially 24 hours per day and then 8 hours per day from May 2019 to the end of March 2020. They provided socialization and assisted with his care and daily routine. Unfortunately once COVID appeared the institution no longer allowed them to be with him despite their willingness to only send 1 specific caregiver, providing negative COVID tests etc. This certainly was detrimental to my fathers well being. I can't thank the entire team and especially our excellent care givers who provided care for him. His face brightened when they would appear. Mary Grace was an absolute angel. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending their service. MP was amazing and always assessable and willing to help in any way possible. read less

MP was... read moreOver the past eight months, the team at Ohana Care has done much for our 88-year-old mother. MP was the first person I talked to, when a friend recommended Ohana Care. As Community Manager, MP is personable as well as highly professional. She has taken care of all details from day one. MP communicates clearly, makes important suggestions and then follows up with all we discuss. Meeting with MP is always an exceptional experience, both in person and online. It is abundantly clear that she cares deeply about meeting the needs of families. Even though I live out-of-province, I feel completely supported as Ohana Care staff provide Mom with understanding, guidance, patience and compassion. These past several months have presented complicated health challenges for our mom, as well as the restrictions posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. During an evening shift, one young caregiver was especially helpful in setting up mom’s iPad FaceTime over the phone with me. Mom’s daily caregiver, Betty, performs her duties cheerfully and conscientiously. I highly recommend this company. It feels like adding loving members to one’s immediate family. read less

My dad lived on his own and was reluctant to have someone provide foot care for him. After one visit from Ohana Care, he was so relieved and grateful. He continued having regular appointments until his passing. My mom lives in extended care with dementia but also has healthy feet from the care given to them by Ohana Care. The care of seniors feet is essential and helps them to stay healthy and comfortable. We recommend Ohana Care for their compassion and care of our seniors. read less
